Why European Thermally Broken Aluminium System?

At its core, the term “thermally broken” refers to an innovative design feature that significantly improves the thermal performance of windows and doors. But how does this work?

Understanding The Thermal Break

A thermal break is an insulating barrier placed between the inner and outer frames of a window or door, preventing the transfer of thermal energy, keeping the cold out in winter and heat at bay in summer.

Benefits of European Thermally Broken Aluminium System

It minimizes thermal transfer, effectively conserving indoor temperatures and reducing energy bills.

It minimise condensation inside the window/door surface, as well as minimise mould.

Quieter interiors with the added acoustic insulation provided by the thermal break.

The design helps in preventing condensation, a significant factor in reducing wear and potential damage over time.

It is designed to be sleek, modern, and versatile, fitting seamlessly into a wide range of architectural styles.

Thermally broken aluminium offers superior energy efficiency and durability compared to aluminium, timber, or uPVC, making it the optimal choice for weather-resistant and long-lasting windows and doors. It has become the bench mark of European windows and doors, including Schuco, Reynaers and Wicona.

Our fabrication process, including techniques like crimping, ensures precise and high-quality assembly for long-lasting window and door structures.

Internal glazing bead significantly enhances security of occupants, as well as ease of glass replacement if required.

Rubber glazing offers more consistent look and ease of application.

We can create varied window and door combinations to suit every architectural style and preference.

The European thermally broken system has integrated design, system, fabrication equipment, process design and automation. The whole production process has become more streamlined and efficient.

History of thermally broken system

To counter Europe’s harsh weather conditions, the construction industry embraced the innovation of thermally broken systems. These systems, characterized by a non-conductive barrier inserted between the frames of windows and doors, effectively stop thermal transfer, fostering a well-insulated interior. The innovation marked a significant step towards energy efficiency and sustainable building solutions.

GLASS

Why We use Safety Glass as standard?

Safety glass is a type of glass specifically designed to be less prone to breakage and less likely to inflict injury when it is broken. Generally, safety glass can be either toughened glass or laminated glass.

Australian Standard AS1288 does not require all glass to be safety glass inside a building, such as bedrooms. For our client’s improved safety, we use 5mm or thicker toughened safety glass in all our projects.
